Tailor made for you by Suffolk Joinery

Suffolk’s specialists in authentic box sash windows & hand-crafted wooden staircases

At Suffolk Joinery, our small yet distinguished team of expert joiners are passionate about providing Suffolk’s homeowners with authentic joinery of the highest quality, in keeping with the many period features of which our county is so well-known for. With so much heritage on our doorstep, our team combine both traditional and contemporary joinery techniques to create bespoke designs that are the perfect marriage with listed, conservation and period properties throughout Suffolk.

We’re driven to maintain and enhance the authenticity of Suffolk’s period and listed homes with heritage timber windows, doors and staircases carefully reproduced using only the finest quality materials. When replacing your box sash windows, the last thing you want is to fit frames that fail to uphold the treasured characteristics of your property. Our highly-skilled craftsmen ensure everything from the frames and glazing bars to the meeting rails is replicated to precise standards.

For those wishing to invest in their interiors too, we have the technical expertise to design bespoke free-standing furniture and staircases that you simply cannot find off-the-shelf. Our specialist staircases can add tremendous value to everyday life as well as the property itself, creating magnificent openings to living spaces using the finest mahogany, oak and pine at our disposal. From straight staircases to elegant spiral staircases, we can deliver designs that are anything but functional and modular.

How we work

Wherever you are in Suffolk, we’d be delighted to welcome you to our premises to discuss your unique joinery requirements. From the outset, we’ll ascertain exactly what you’re looking for, including style, materials and timescales, before putting pen to paper to design and quote for your project.

Our prerogative is to ensure our customers are happy with both our designs and quotation before getting down to hand-crafting your new stunning feature. Our quotes cover everything including the most stunning natural materials used to enhance the natural qualities of homes anywhere from Ipswich to Lavenham and Bury St Edmunds to Aldeburgh. Let us realise your aspirations for your beautiful Suffolk home.

How to find us

Our purpose-built joinery workshop is situated in the heart of rural Suffolk and is well-connected to one the county’s main tourist routes, the A1120. By car, we are easily accessible from both the A14 and A12, via Earl Stonham (A1120) and Framlingham (B1117).
